Segregation
Ignorance comes in all shapes and sizes. Today me and my children went to the playground in the nearby neighborhood. We had biked there with a tag along on our bike, which really makes it a touch harder to bike with 60 pounds of children behind me on the up hills.
But it was fun, we played on the playground, children were playing basketball on the court above. As we played a young chubby child was yelling, “get outta here Whitey.” I chose to ignore him and keep playing, and as we continued to play, my child’s pants had fell off, which I figured my wife had grabbed and put in the storage of our tag along.
As we peddled through the woods, and had finally arrived at my destination, I noticed the pants weren’t in the tag along. So I went back, I found the skirt, the same child was there as I peddled myself up the hill, saying the same, “Get outta here whitey.”
Personally, my feelings are this individual is lacking in social security, not the kind that is money. I mean that this person doesn’t feel he is concrete in his social circle and must point out the person that isn’t in the circle, further cementing himself in his social circle.
Either way, it only bothers me a bit that there is a person who would try to stir the hornets nest, he doesn’t even know who I am, what type of person, for all he knows I could be offering a job in the future, and I feel he will be burning bridges in his future because of his insecurity.
